Owls duo doubtful for Royals clash

Sheffield Wednesday forward Jermaine Johnson could miss this weekend's crunch clash at fellow strugglers Reading. The Jamaica International has been absent from the last seven games due to a hamstring injury but is now working with the club's physios, along with fellow injury absentee Francis Jeffers, and the duo are both close to a return to full training. "It shouldn't be too long before they're back training with us," manager Alan Irvine told the Sheffield Star. "I wouldn't rule out either being available for Saturday; but if I was a betting man, I wouldn't bet on it." Meanwhile, Tommy Miller, who has been struggling with a hamstring injury, missed the opportunity to build up his match fitness after Tuesday's reserve team game against Shrewsbury was postponed due to snow.
