Owls chairman feeling confident
Strafford and chief executive Nick Parker have helped transform the Championship side on and off the field since the pair joined the board of directors in January.
Strafford told the club's official website: "I've seen people become empowered on the football side and in the offices, plus the success of the well-publicised changes we've made over the last few months.
"Preparing for next year is exciting as well. I think we can all be proud of what we've put together so far. It's a great achievement to reverse the trend that our club has suffered from in recent years.
"There's been a great spirit of goodwill towards the club that has been locked in a safe for the last few years and watching that being released has been exciting.
"There's been a lot of work going on behind the scenes that ordinarily wouldn't be done, so we are better prepared for a new season than we have been for a long time."
