The Owls climbed out of the relegation zone thanks to a goalless draw at Swansea on Saturday and although Irvine has warned of the long haul that lies ahead, he has been impressed by the character of his players.[LNB]Irvine, who takes his side to former club Preston for the first time since being sacked in December, said: "There's been a big change since the Reading game and the lads deserve a lot of credit for the last few performances.[LNB]"Our last three games have been against Leicester, West Brom and Swansea, three top sides in this division. We won against Leicester, were unlucky to lose at West Brom midweek and got a well deserved point at Swansea.[LNB]"It's nice to be out of the bottom three, but we're not going to get carried away. We know that there's a long way to go if we are to stay in this division. As long as we're out of the bottom three on the last day of the season, that will be fine for me."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
