Owls agree to keep Soares
Sheffield Wednesday have extended the loan of Stoke midfielder Tom Soares until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old, who initially joined Wednesday on a one-month loan in November before his stint was extended at the turn of the year, is eligible for the Owls' trip to Scunthorpe on Wednesday, subject to Premier League clearance.
Wednesday manager Alan Irvine said: "I'm really pleased to bring Tom back to Sheffield Wednesday for the remainder of the season.
"He has really impressed me in the short time I have been at the club so far and he'll prove a very important addition to the squad for the busy schedule of fixtures we have to come."
Soares, who made his debut for the club against West Brom in November, has made seven appearances and opened his goalscoring account against Blackpool earlier this month.
