Sheffield Wednesday have received a major boost ahead of the new season with the news that right-back Lewis Buxton has agreed a new deal that extends his stay at the club to the summer of 2015.
Buxton is one of 6 out of contract players that have been offered new deals by the Owls and the fans will be pleased to see that the former Stoke defender has decided to stay at the club.
The right-back has been one of Wednesday's most consistent performers over the past couple of seasons, solid defensively and capable of producing goal making crosses when going forward. His displays last season were recognised by the fans who voted him as the Owls player of the season in the clubs first season back in the Championship.
Buxton stated in an interview published on the Owls official website, www.swfc.co.uk that he is delighted to sign a new deal and is looking forward to his future at Hillsborough.
