The former Leeds academy manager, who also spent nine years on the coaching staff at Huddersfield, will take charge of the Owls' reserves and help prepare players to return to the first-team squad in tip-top condition. Dungworth told the club's official website: "Players who have been out injured need extra work to get up to speed. They haven't touched a ball in some cases for a couple of weeks, so it's my job to get them back confident to join in with the first-team squad." He added: "Brian (Laws) tells me what kind of system we need to be playing in the reserves and how long a player will be on the pitch for. "For example, Akpo Sodje got 70 minutes against Macclesfield last week and in the previous game 45 so it's all monitored. The teams and the subs are picked accordingly."
