Striker joins another League One side

Sheffield Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison made the move out of Hillsborough for the second time this season on Thursday, joining fellow League One side Brentford on loan until the end of the season.

The former Eire international may well have played his last game for the Owls as his contract at S6 is due to expire in the summer. Morrison has scored 14 times for Wednesday since moving to Sheffield in 2010 but has found his chances restricted this season, making just 7 league starts. He has fallen behind Gary Madine, Ryan Lowe and Chris O’Grady in the pecking order and the signing of Newcastle striker Nile Ranger by the Owls on Thursday would no doubt have seen his chances of featuring made even more remote.

Morrison had a short loan spell with MK Dons earlier in the season where he scored 3 times in 6 appearances and he will be hoping to rediscover that kind of form in London.
