Mind games crucial for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine believes handling the pressures of being among the promotion favourites will be key to the club's chances next season. The Owls were relegated following a dramatic final-day 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace at Hillsborough and Irvine's men will be keen to bounce back at the first attempt. Irvine told the Sheffield Star: "Everybody will want to play us. We're going to find ourselves in a situation where we are the big draw in the division, like Leeds and Nottingham Forest were. "When the fixtures come out this month teams will be looking to see when they play Sheffield Wednesday, so we're going to have to deal with the pressure of being one of the big clubs. "It will be everybody else's cup final. If we're in a position where we can't deal with that, then we will have a problem."
