Megson handed FA fine

Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson has been fined £2,000 by the Football Association and warned about his future behaviour after admitting a charge of improper conduct. Megson opted for a personal hearing with an FA disciplinary panel in Leeds relating to comments he made to the media about referee Steve Rushton after last month's 1-1 draw at Dagenham. Megson had been sent to the stands by referee Rushton during the game and had already pleaded guilty to a previous charge of improper conduct for his dismissal and language towards the officials, for which the former West Brom and Leicester manager was fined £1,000.
