Megson blasts woeful Owls

Sheffield Wednesday boss Gary Megson could hardly hide his fury after his side were condemned to a 4-2 home defeat at the hands of Plymouth. The Owls had recorded a goalless draw at Bournemouth and a 1-0 win at Carlisle in their two previous outings but they fell short against the Pilgrims. Goals from Giles Coke and Reda Johnson were scant consolation for the Owls and they now lie 15 points adrift of the play-off places. Megson said: "It was absolute chalk and cheese compared to the last two games. We didn't play anywhere near like the way we played at Bournemouth and Carlisle. "We've been talking about the reasons why. I'm always frank with my views and we've asked the players what they think as well. "What was said stays in the dressing room. Individually and collectively, it wasn't acceptable."
