"That was a really good game and we played some really good stuff. We deserved that win," said Royals boss McDermott after Saturday's Championship encounter at the Madejski Stadium.[LNB]"I was a little bit concerned that, after Wednesday's FA Cup tie at West Brom, we wouldn't come out fired up.[LNB]"I was also a bit concerned because the players were a bit quiet in the dressing room before the game, but they were focused out there.[LNB]"At half-time we were 2-0 up and I said the next goal was really important because when you get three goals at home you should be okay.[LNB]"People may say we didn't deserve to be right down there in the table, but the fact is that we were. I thought the fans were terrific today and I am sure they will enjoy themselves tonight. I know I will.[LNB]"Now we can look forward to Aston Villa in the FA Cup next week. They are a great club with a fantastic manager and it should be a bit like the old days for us."[LNB]Owls boss Alan Irvine blamed a lack of mental strength for his side's display.[LNB]He said: "That was unacceptable. We were a bit unlucky with the first goal but after that we caved in.[LNB]"If we are mentally fragile that will be a real problem. If you don't have mental strength then you are in real trouble. The time you really find out about people is in adversity.[LNB]"I am learning things as I go along but I don't want to judge people over too short a time. I am still trying to get to know the players and I wouldn't like to jump to conclusions too soon[LNB]"This could be a huge moment in our season one way or another."[LNB]Reading got the opening goal three minutes before the interval.[LNB]Jimmy Kebe unleashed a fierce drive from the edge of the penalty area which flicked off Richard Hinds before beating Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant.[LNB]On the stroke of half-time, Reading added their second. A left-wing cross from Gylfi Sigurdsson was moved on by Welsh international Simon Church, giving Gregorz Rasiak the easy task of tapping it across the line.[LNB]Eight minutes into the second half, the home side stretched their lead with a superb goal from Church.[LNB]Put clear by strike partner Rasiak, he turned his defender and unleashed a ferocious drive past Grant from the edge of the area.[LNB]Midway through the second half, Rasiak added his second from close range after being set up by Kebe. The Mali international then scored the fifth himself 19 minutes from time.[LNB][LNB]
