The signing of Tommy Miller and the prospect of another player on the way had raised doubts over McAllister's future.
But Laws insisted the midfielder would get plenty of opportunities next season.
"Sean did ever so well last season and has been an integral part of the team," Laws told The Star.
"He gets a foot in, he can pass, he can get forward and what he lacks in inches he makes up for in heart. Just because we are strengthening the midfield department it doesn't mean he will just be pushed to one side - it just increases the competition.
"Sean will still have a major part to play."
