The 26-year-old has signed a new four-year contract at Hillsborough to end weeks of speculation linking him with a move to Premier League newcomers Burnley, who had two bids for Wednesday's player of the year turned down, and he now expects Brian Laws' side to challenge for the play-offs. Tudgay said: "I'm very happy. I don't just want to coast through my contract, I want to be in the Premier League and Sheffield Wednesday are moving forward and making changes. I wanted it to be with Sheffield Wednesday. "When a Premier League club approach you and make it clear they want you, it does turn your head, but after speaking to the manager and the chairman many times and their thoughts about the takeover, they won me over. "I just want to play football. I want to achieve high things in life and I want to be in the Premier League." Tudgay added: "We've bought in some good players who are used to life in the top half of the table. They've got the experience and can help us achieve. We've always been 12th or 213th at the end of the season, now it's time to kick on."
