Mandaric set for Megson meeting

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric has confirmed he will meet with manager Gary Megson this week to discuss potential summer transfer targets. Also on the agenda will be how many of the out-of-contract players will be retained for next season. Captain Tommy Miller is likely to be top of the list, having been left out of the 2-0 defeat at Brighton on Saturday for contractual reasons. James O'Connor, Jermaine Johnson, Lewis Buxton and Richard Hinds will also be out of contract. Mandaric told the Sheffield Star: "I think we are safe now from going down so we are starting to look to the future. "It has been difficult to look too far ahead because we have not known whether we are going to stay up or not. We are now starting to prepare for next season. We have to do it in the right way and we can't leave any room for error. "I am going to meet with Gary and we will see what's what for next year. We will discuss how many players he might need to take us to the next level."
