Madine eyes the Championship
Gary Madine has targeted promotion to the npower Championship this season after completing his move to Sheffield Wednesday from Carlisle.
Madine, 20, has signed a four-and-half year deal after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee on Saturday.
Madine told the club's official website: "Promotion is definitely the target. The club belongs higher up, everybody knows that and hopefully we'll get that this season.
"It's a massive club with massive potential and I'm looking forward to working with the gaffer.
"I played here with Carlisle at the start of the season and the crowd were fantastic that day. Sadly for Wednesday they got beaten, but the fans were amazing.
"I'm quite ambitious and Carlisle only get 6,000 fans and Wednesday get about 20,000."
