Sheffield Wednesday defender Lewis Buxton was rewarded for a fine performance againstChesterfieldby being names in the npower League One team of the week, chosen by the press association.
Buxton, who has been in fine form this season, set the Owls on their way to a 3-1 victory over their near neighbours by scoring the opening goal with a firm header from a Ben Marshall corner.
The former Stoke City defender is capable of playing anywhere across the back four but has been a revelation at right-back this season, providing attacking options with his marauding runs whilst helping to shore up the defence. Wednesday have conceded just one goal in their last three games and a run of four successive victories has propelled them into the top two in league one.
