Laws satisfied with FA outcome

Laws was furious after not being permitted to make a substitution in stoppage time in a bid to preserve the Owls' 1-0 lead at Deepdale - and Preston then equalised. The Owls boss was sent from the touchline after confronting referee Andy Penn after Jon Parkin's leveller, and subsequently hit with an improper conduct charge. And although the charge was proven, Laws was handed just a warning by the FA at a disciplinary hearing in Leeds on Tuesday. He told the Sheffield Star: "I'm reasonably satisfied with the outcome. There was responsibility on both sides. A 'draw' was about the right result."
