Laws lavishes praise on Johnson
The 28-year-old has scored three goals in the first four games but was unable to find the net in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle on Wednesday night.
Johnson did give Newcastle centre-back Fabricio Coloccini a torrid time at St James' Park and Laws believes the pacey frontman will cause problems for many sides.
"Jermaine Johnson is a handful - sometimes he is unplayable," said Laws.
"We know he has got the ability to hurt people. He was causing all sorts of problems within the game because he has got pace and he runs at people.
"He should score goals because he will cause problems for the opposition."
