Sheffield Wednesday have completed their second emergency loan signing in as many days with the capture of defender Rob Jones from Scunthorpe. Jones, 31, who has followed Wolves defender Danny Batth to Hillsborough, has joined until the end of the current campaign and will go straight into Gary Megson's squad for Saturday's clash at Southampton. The towering centre half signed for Scunthorpe from Hibernian for an undisclosed club-record transfer fee in July 2009. Jones began his career with Stockport before joining Grimsby and then moving north of the border to Easter Road, where he made 121 appearances. Jones captained Hibs to their first trophy in 16 years when they lifted the Scottish League Cup in 2007.
