Johnson said: "It was a great start and I think the boys played really well. That win means a lot to us because we can start to push up the table.
"We've been feeling confident in training all week and it was good for us to show that in the game.
"If you want to win you have to put in the work and we got our rewards against Barnsley.
"We showed what we can do and now we need to do that in every game. We need to go to Blackpool and put in a similar performance and I'm sure we can get another three points."
