Johnson returns for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday winger Jermaine Johnson will be included in the squad for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Chesterfield. Johnson has not appeared for the Owls this season after damaging knee ligaments during a pre-season friendly against Doncaster, but has returned to full training this week and is expected to play some part. Manager Alan Irvine has no new injury or suspension worries and will choose from a fully-fit squad for the second round tie against former Wednesday midfielder John Sheridan's Chesterfield. The Owls secured their first win in six league games at Notts County on Saturday and Irvine must decide whether to stick with a winning line-up. Midfielder Darren Potter is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after scoring Wednesday's second goal at the weekend, as Neil Mellor, Gary Teale, Lewis Buxton and Chris Sedgwick, who were all on the bench.
