Johnson relishing summer schedule

Johnson is busy preparing with John Barnes' Jamaica squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in America in July and faces at least three matches, with potentially more depending on qualification. He said: "I'll enjoy it with Jamaica and then come back even better for next season. "The boys will be well into pre-season by the time the CONCACAF Gold Cup is finished. But the experience will be invaluable and playing against top players will only improve my game. "In a way, playing non-stop will keep me fit because I won't have six weeks off and then have to start from scratch fitness-wise." Jamaica drew 2-2 with Haiti last weekend and face a second friendly with Panama on June 7 before taking on Canada, Costa Rica and El Salvador in the Gold Cup, with the final scheduled for July 26.
