Johnson pushing for Owls start

Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine could be tempted to recall winger Jermaine Johnson to his starting line-up for the home clash with Bristol City. Johnson stepped off the substitutes' bench midway through the second half in Saturday's 1-1 draw at QPR and had an instant impact on the game. The Jamaica international had missed the previous three matches due to a hamstring injury. Defender Lewis Buxton returned to the side at Loftus Road after being sidelined since the end of January with a similar problem and came through unscathed. Irvine, whose relegation battlers are now unbeaten in their last six league matches, has no other new injury or suspension problems. Strikers Leon Clarke and Francis Jeffers, midfielder Michael Gray and defenders Frank Simek and Richard Hinds are all pushing for a return to the side.
