Irvine's Wednesday warning

Alan Irvine has warned his Sheffield Wednesday side that their game with Doncaster will be no walkover after watching Rovers' 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Irvine looked on as Billy Sharp, who headed in Doncaster's winner the last time the South Yorkshire clubs met back in December, helped lift Doncaster three points above the Owls in the Championship table. However, the Wednesday boss remains confident his side can do enough to overcome their rivals, and told the Sheffield Star: "It's important that we have a good shape about us again; if you don't, they'll carve you open. "They get a lot of players in the middle of the park. They pass the ball well, and they have a goal threat. "I know Billy Sharp hadn't scored for a while but he got one against Reading recently, and he scored a good goal on Saturday."
