Irvine: We deserved something

Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine felt his side were unlucky to lose to Swindon after a spirited display in a 2-1 defeat. Clinton Morrison had equalised for the Owls in controversial fashion, but the Robins` Jon-Paul McGovern snatched a winner. Irvine said: "I thought we deserved something out of the game, you can`t deny that. I thought we had a lot of the play, we had a lot of chances and we hit the crossbar. We had a penalty turned down and a goal disallowed, so there are a lot of things that we are obviously disappointed about. "We had a number of chances and put them under a great deal of pressure. We hit the bar and things didn`t quite drop for people in the box. "We deserved another goal and put them under long periods of pressure throughout the game. On another day some of the things in the match would have fallen for us. "The fans are fantastic, there`s no question about that. Getting out of Sheffield this week has been incredibly difficult and they`ve had two long trips to Carlisle and Swindon."
