Irvine wary of Cobblers test

Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine will not be taking cup giantkillers Northampton lightly in the second round of the FA Cup later this month. The Owls negotiated a potential banana-skin with a 5-2 win at Blue Square Premier side Southport on Sunday to secure a home tie against Northampton, who upset Liverpool on penalties in the Carling Cup at Anfield earlier in the season. Irvine said: "We'll give Northampton the respect they deserve and do our work on them just as we would any other team. "It would be nice to get to the third round because you never know what might happen, but we will not be looking beyond the second round until that game is over."
