Irvine wants big name in draw

Manager Alan Irvine hopes Sheffield Wednesday land a plum home tie in the FA Cup third round. The Owls reached that stage with a 3-2 win over Northampton thanks to two Tommy Miller penalties after Mark Beevers had headed them in front early on. "Anybody at home will do for a start," said Irvine. "Manchester United are obviously the big draw but there are others as well. You want to either progress in the competition or land a big club and make a lot of money." Wednesday`s financial problems look set to be eased by Milan Mandaric`s acquisition of the club. On the buy-out, Irvine said: "It's great news for everyone involved with the club. I'm delighted and relieved that administration isn't going to kick-in because when that happens, you're told which players are being sold and that isn't good for any manager. "But I can only really think about it now because I've been concentrating on the game."
