Irvine set to keep the faith

Sheffield Wednesday are expected to be unchanged for the midweek league clash at West Brom. Manager Alan Irvine has no new injury or suspension worries and is unlikely to tinker with a winning line-up following Saturday's 2-0 home win over Leicester. Striker Leon Clarke made his first start in five matches against the Foxes and rewarded Irvine with both goals so he is expected to retain his place in the starting line-up. Irvine must decide whether to play Clarke alongside Marcus Tudgay again or recall on-loan Derby forward Luke Varney. Defender Frank Simek, midfielder Tom Soares and Varney were all second-half substitutes on Saturday and are pushing for recalls as Wednesday bid to climb out of the bottom three with their first away league win since a 1-0 success at Blackpool mid-January.
