Irvine reveals Rovers admiration

Alan Irvine has revealed his admiration for Doncaster's style of play after seeing his Sheffield Wednesday side slump to a 2-0 home defeat to Rovers on Tuesday. The Owls are now just a point clear of the Coca-Cola Championship relegation zone, while Sean O'Driscoll's men are up in 10th, seven points behind the play-off positions. When asked if Doncaster could make the play-offs, Wednesday boss Irvine said: "Their style of football is certainly good enough to take them to there, but whether they can get enough points between now and the end of the season I don't know. "But certainly their style of football is the kind I like watching and they are a good team, Sean's done a really good job there. "If it was all down to the style of football then they would certainly be one of the contenders, but it's a very difficult division. "They played very well (against us), they played really well against Forest at the weekend as well, and if they maintain that kind of form then yes they will have a chance of getting enough points to get to the play-offs. But they are behind quite a lot of teams at the moment who will all think they can get there as well."
