Irvine: Pressure is telling

Sheffield Wednesday boss Alan Irvine believes some of his players are struggling with the pressure of playing for a big club after the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth. The Owls were not at the races during the first period when Ryan Garry's strike put the visitors ahead, but improved markedly after the break and deserved the leveller which came through substitute Neil Mellor. Irvine said: "The players' approach in the second half was what it should be and in the first half it wasn't. "If you're playing well, this is a fantastic place to play at. But a problem you can have if you play at a big club is that you can't perform below a certain level. "It was a classic game of two halves. They were by far the better in the first half but we were the better team in the second half. "We were passive in the first half when they had the ball. We didn't play with the energy they had. Our attitude changed in the second."
