Sheffield Wednesday boss Alan Irvine declared himself happy with his side`s pre-season progress after they recorded a goalless draw against USK Anif. The Owls chief, who made nine changes at half-time, took the opportunity to give all seven of his summer signings some game time in Austria. He told the club's official website: "[It] was a good fitness exercise at the end of a tough week. It was played in soaring heat and the players had a large pitch to cover. "We had to play around with different formations and every player had at least 45 minutes. They all worked hard and showed great determination despite the heat."
