Irvine may shuffle pack

Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine could be tempted to make changes for the home clash with Southampton. The Owls crashed to a third successive league defeat last week at Plymouth and while Irvine has no new injury or suspension worries, the Scot hinted at introducing some new faces. Midfielder Tommy Miller scored a stunning goal after stepping off the bench last week and could be recalled to the starting line-up, while Gary Teale could also return, with Chris Sedgwick and Giles Coke possibly making way. Marcus Tudgay and Neil Mellor are expected to continue up front while winger Jermaine Johnson, yet to appear this season, remains sidelined with a long-term knee injury. The Owls have dropped from top to 11th place in recent weeks and are desperate to avoid a fourth league defeat on the trot.
