Irvine: I`ll get on with job

Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine insists he would "get on with the job" if the club went into administration. The club avoided a winding-up order by being granted a 28-day adjournment by the High Court on Tuesday and must now try and finalise a takeover deal with one of four separate parties interest in taking control at Hillsborough. When asked about the possibility of administration, Irvine, whose club were in court in relation to an unpaid PAYE bill of £600,000, told the club's official website: "You lose 10 points straight away and you don't know what might happen with regard to the squad because you lose control of it, but if that happens we have to deal with it. "We won't be the first club that's had to deal with it. There's no point moaning and groaning about it, you just have to get on with the job. "Every manager would want the option of being able to deal in the loan market, but if you can't, you can't, and you just have to deal with the players you've got." Irvine added: "To be honest, as it was getting closer and closer (to the High Court hearing) I didn't expect there to be a conclusion, so we're really in the same position as we were in this time last week. We'll simply do the best we can as far as the games are concerned."
