Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine praised the professionalism of his players after the 5-0 victory at Hartlepool. Wednesday went in front when Paul Murray put through his own net before goals from Giles Coke, Neil Mellor, Marcus Tudgay and Clinton Morrison rounded off an emphatic win. Irvine said: "You never relax until the end and it was very near the end when I started to relax - you just never know what might happen. "This is a really hard place to come and it's a fantastic result. I came to watch Hartlepool beat Sheffield United in the cup and they were fantastic - it was a tough test for us. "The players did what we asked of them and were totally professional throughout. I was delighted in the way they did their jobs. We didn't get sloppy or careless, everyone was right on it. At 3-0 there's a danger you think it's job done and sit there and lose an edge,. "I challenged them at half-time to be the perfect professionals, to go out and do the job as if it was 0-0 and they did that."
