Hinds return boosts Owls
Sheffield Wednesday defender Richard Hinds will return to contention for the Johnstone Paint Trophy clash with Notts County following suspension.
Hinds missed Saturday's 5-0 win at Hartlepool due to a one-game ban after being sent off in the recent Carling Cup defeat at Scunthorpe.
Owls manager Alan Irvine is expected to name Hinds on the substitutes' bench as skipper Darren Purse returned to the starting line-up at Hartlepool and helped keep a clean sheet.
Irvine, who has no new injury or suspension worries, could hand starts to midfielder Tommy Miller and striker Clinton Morrison, who both need more game time after their respective injuries.
However, winger Jermaine Johnson is still nursing his way back to fitness after damaging knee ligaments.
