Caretaker boss Sean McAuley took charge for the first time as the Owls slumped to a 2-0 home defeat by Swansea last weekend, and Gray has urged the players to put that right against leaders Newcastle on Boxing Day.[LNB]Gray told Wednesday Player: "We've got a tough Christmas period coming up and we've got to start putting results right. It's just about staying positive.[LNB]"Obviously I didn't train myself last week but from what was coming back from the players, they had a good week's training and they worked their socks off and, unfortunately, we didn't get the result again (against Swansea).[LNB]"It must sound like a broken record at the minute, but we've got to try and change that as soon as we can.[LNB]"We've got a very busy Christmas period, the games are getting tougher and next up is Newcastle, which is no easy task. We've got to get out there, we've got to perform and give something back to the fans because they've stuck with us in this tough time and it's about time we started repaying them with some performances."[LNB][LNB]
