The 24-year-old, who has five goals in 19 first-team appearances this term, scored the second in a 2-0 reserve-team win over Sheffield United on Wednesday.

And Dungworth believes Esajas - absent from the first team since December - sent a reminder to Owls boss Brian Laws with his display.

"He showed just what he is capable of," the coach told the club's official website. "He showed excellent skill and composure to score his goal.

"We all know the ability he has and it was great to see. Maybe he can make an impact over the Easter period for the first team."
