Esajas in line for rare Owls start

The Dutch winger, who has started in two Carling Cup ties this season, last appeared for the Owls in a league game in April, but is likely to be rewarded for his recent performances off the bench. Esajas scored in last Friday's derby defeat to Sheffield United and helped transform Brian Laws' side after the break. Laws is not expected to make any other changes, but Mark Beevers has shaken off a knee injury and is available again, while fellow centre-half Richard Wood has recovered from illness and a groin problem. Frank Simek has made a full recovery from injury and is pushing for a recall, but lacks match fitness so Lewis Buxton is expected to retain his place at full-back. Marcus Tudgay will partner on-loan Luke Varney up front, with Akpo Sodje, Francis Jeffers and Leon Clarke all expected to start on the bench.
