Esajas hoping to establish himself

Esajas has not started a league game for the Owls since last April at Bristol City, but is expected to be rewarded by Brian Laws after stepping off the bench at half-time to score and help transform his side in Friday night's 3-2 defeat to Sheffield United. The Dutchman said: "I was real hungry to get on the pitch against United because I had been on the bench for the last five games. "You can see things that go wrong from the bench and think you can help if you can get on the pitch. But there is nothing you can do to help if you stay on the bench. "I hope last week was a turning point for me. I have started the season fit after missing a lot of time last year, so now I want to get out there on the pitch and show Wednesday what I can do."
