Esajas fears season is over

The Dutchman broke his toe in the home win over QPR in December and initially expected to be sidelined for six weeks, but has revealed his frustration at his extended spell on the sidelines. Esajas told the club's official website: "It's been really, really disappointing. I thought six weeks was going to be bad enough, but I'm now in my 12th week. "My toe is getting better all the time, but until I can train properly and not suffer any pain the next day, I cannot name a day to come back even in the reserve team. "What has made this so frustrating is that I was in the first team, playing well and scoring goals in the first part of the season. So to miss so much time since then has been a terrible time for me personally." The 24-year-old added: "There's not too long left in the season, so if the worst happens and I do not play, it will make me even more determined to work harder than ever over the summer and come back fully fit for next season."
