Double doubt for Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday pair Mark Beevers and Neil Mellor could both miss the home clash with Leyton Orient.

Both players, rated 50/50, were forced out of the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Chesterfield, Beevers after taking a knock on his ankle and Mellor due to a virus.

Manager Alan Irvine has plenty of options up front and at the back, though. Daniel Jones, Jon Otsemobor and Tommy Spurr can all fill in at centre-half, but Lewis Buxton is expected to switch into the middle with Otsemobor covering at right-back.

Clinton Morrison, Marcus Tudgay and Paul Heffernan are all vying for a starting place in attack.

Winger Jermaine Johnson was expected to have been included on the bench against Chesterfield, but Irvine refuses to rush the Jamaica international, who has yet to appear this season due to a knee injury.
