Double concern for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday skipper Darren Purse and fellow defender Jon Otsemobor face late fitness tests ahead of the home game with Rochdale. Purse failed to appear for the second half of the Owls' Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Hartlepool in midweek due to a rib injury, while Otsemobor had been forced off earlier with a calf strain. Both players are rated doubtful. Owls manager Alan Irvine, who has no other new injury or suspension problems, could be boosted by the return of winger Jermaine Johnson, who has missed the last two matches due to a hamstring injury. Wednesday have slipped to 10th place, three points adrift of the play-offs, following back-to-back league defeats and are bidding to win their first game in four League One matches.
