Cumbrians snap up Simek
Frank Simek has signed a two-year deal with Carlisle.
The USA international defender, 25, was released by Sheffield Wednesday this summer after five years with the Yorkshire club.
Manager Greg Abbott told Carlisle`s official website: "Frank is exactly the type of player that we have been looking for.
"He is full of energy and he has played the game at high levels, and we are really looking forward to working with him."
