Clarke in no rush to discuss new deal

Sheffield Wednesday striker Leon Clarke will put talks over a new contract on hold until the end of the season. The 25-year-old, who fired a match-winning double against Leicester on Saturday after being recalled to the starting line-up, is one of several players whose current deal expires in the summer. Clarke said: "I haven't thought about it (my contract) to be honest. The only thing I'm thinking about right now is helping to keep Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship. "We have another big game coming up on Tuesday at West Brom and, obviously, they're a very good side. "They will come at us and play some good football but the manager will have us very well prepared." Clarke has struggled to hold down a place in the starting line-up this season with Marcus Tudgay and Luke Varney, on loan from Derby, the preferred combination.
