Clarke gutted to miss hat-trick

The burly striker took his tally for the season to eight with a quickfire double at Turf Moor, but also hit the post and had one effort ruled out for offside as Wednesday clinched back-to-back league wins - winning 4-2. Clarke said: "It was a little bit disappointing not to get my first hat-trick, but overall I was really pleased with my performance. "I had a lot of chances, I was hitting the target and me and Tuggy both managed to get two goals. "We know we've got two difficult games coming up with Reading and Wolves both chasing for promotion. Hopefully we can pick up some points in the next two games and push on. "The manager let the four forward players express ourselves, we haven't done that before and it caused Burnley problems."
