Buxton ready to deputise for Spurr
Spurr will sit out Saturday's clash with Derby at Hillsborough after his dismissal at Norwich last week, and Buxton, who plys his trade at right-back, is a contender to make the switch.
"I'm right-footed really, but I can use my left," Buxton told The Star.
"It's more of a challenge playing on the left. Positionally, it's a bit different; as a right-back you get used to playing against left-footed players who want to go down the line.
"We'll have to wait and see what the manager is going to do. If I'm playing, whether it's right-back or left-back, I'll just do the best I can."
