Beevers seeks home comforts

Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark Beevers is hoping his side's good home form can help them escape the drop. The Owls beat Blackpool 2-0 at Hillsborough on Tuesday night to rack up their third consecutive home win and move two points clear of the relegation zone. Alan Irvine's men have another home game against Doncaster on Tuesday night and Beevers is keen for them to build on the clean sheet against the Seasiders. "We got that clean sheet and deserved it and that's something the whole team can be proud of," Beevers told the club's official website. "Everything that was thrown at us we dealt with and that is something we will look to take into the next game. "We need to now make the most of our home games to give us that extra bit of breathing space in the league and that starts against Doncaster next week."
