Another one bites the dust in Sheffield Wednesday shake up

Winger on his way out Sheffield Wednesday have today announced that Scottish winger Gary Teale has left the club by mutual consent. The former Wigan and Derby County wide man moved to Hillsborough on a free transfer last summer, signing a two-year deal but he has now seemingly been deemed surplus to requirements Despite playing more than 50 games in all competitions last season Teale’s displays for the Owls were largely inconsistent. After a reasonable start to the campaign he appeared to lose his way in the New Year (as did many at the club) and with Gary Megson looking to freshen up his squad Teale will now be looking for a new club. The 32-year-old follows Tommy Miller, Richard Hinds, Paul Heffernan, Darren Potter and Tommy Spurr out of the Hillsborough exit door this summer. With only David Prutton and Rob Jones coming in to date Owls fans will be keen to see some more activity in the transfer market with the squad looking thin on the ground as pre-season training kicks into gear.
