The 35-year-old retired from professional football after having his contract terminated by Huddersfield earlier this month and is well placed to assess two of his former clubs' promotion bids. He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I'd love Sheffield United to go up automatically and Burnley to get promoted via the play-offs. That'd be perfect. "But I fancy Burnley on Monday night. They have got big-game players and they're flying at the minute. "There haven't been many games this season where they've come away and not deserved to get anything and Owen Coyle is carrying on what they started last season. "The boys have done just brilliantly for the amount of games they've played. And when they get in the play-offs I'll be at every game."
