Taylor out of Canaries clash

27 December 2010 15:30
Sheffield United will be without Andy Taylor for the Bank Holiday trip to Norwich. Left-back Taylor suffered a leg injury in just the 12th minute of their Boxing Day defeat to Hull and was carried off on a stretcher and has been ruled out of the trip to Norfolk. Midfielder Stephen Quinn also had to go off in that game after slipping on the side of the pitch and banging his hip and he is doubtful. Matty Lowton should replace Taylor, while fit-again Jamie Ward could be the man to come in should Quinn not make it. Striker Richard Cresswell has served a three-match ban following his red card at Bristol City and he will come straight back into contention. Caretaker boss John Carver has no other fresh injury or selection concerns as he searches for a win that would strengthen his claims of landing the job on a permanent basis.
